NOTES

I don't have much to say about this except I'm really glad tbm forced me to watch the rest of Gotham to make this vid! I was not a fan of season 1 at all but LOVED season 2, so that definitely carried me through. Also it was awesome working with tbm on polishing this -- she had so many great (and specific) suggestions that really helped shape the end product. Would Auction again!

I enjoyed this! All the bad guys making their cases for guns and chaos and terror, and Bruce feeling the pull--he's got guns in his head, too--yet, in the end, putting the gun down on the table and turning away. Nicely done!

This is magnificent - and it made me want to watch Season Two. (I liked bits of Season One, but found it frustratingly uneven. But Season Two looks like so much fun here!)

I've always loved the way that Batman's rogue's gallery are all his dark reflections in one way or another, and this really captures that dark connection they all share.

Oh wow, I finally got to watch this. I wish I'd gotten to see it at the con.

I particularly love the way you tie Bruce's demons in with all the rest, and especially the Bruce/Jerome parallels toward the end.

I'm going to have to start watching this dumpster fire again because it looks like it's embraced it's wackiness more in a fun way. I like how the vid teeters on the edge. It takes what the show is silly and campy about and looks at it more seriously.

I've said as much to you in person, but I really love this vid. I loved how you paralleled Bruce/Batman with the villains embracing their own strangeness/persona. And that song gives me feels!

Bits I love, but there are too much to point out:

- Alternating more metaphorical reading of words like "gun", "strange", "head" with tongue-in-cheek literal things like Barbra's shut gun, Hugo Strange and the head lamp.
- How your musicality mostly focused on the voice and the violin to let the emotions shine through, but still had little bursts of highlighting the quick beats like Alfred and Bruce boxing. Awesome awesome balance.
- I haven't seen much of the sort the source but I loved that the last shot is Bruce looking at the silhouette of a "caped crusader", with
"the gun still rattles"/his alter ego trying to come out from within.

So... I guess I have to watch Gotham so I can get to season 2 now :/

I like how you linked Bruce and his soon to be super villain nemeses - that they had the same guns in their heads. Also, the upbeat rhythm/melody clashes so much like the various moods in Gotham between violence and the over-the-top nature of comic book villains.
